FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Lebron and Laurie Carter opened Carter’s Beverages in 2010 and in 2013 added an additional store at 1710 Glenn Blvd. Carter’s Beverages (north store) recently moved across the street to 2308 Gault Ave. North.

Lebron, a graduate of Fort Payne High School is in his 19th year working at the Fort Payne Improvement Authority and he also referees in his spare time. Laurie, a graduate of Collinsville High School, is the day-to-day manager of both Carter’s Beverages. Lebron was born in Fort Payne and Laurie is a 30-year resident of Fort Payne. Lebron and Laurie have two children: Jordan and MaKaila Carter. Jordan graduated from Fort Payne High School and after attending the University of Alabama, now works with his family at Carter’s Beverages. MaKaila will be in the fourth grade at Williams Avenue Elementary School and enjoys art.

Lebron, Laurie and MaKaila attend First United Methodist Church in Fort Payne and Lebron can be found coaching MaKaila in basketball, or on the softball fields with MaKaila. They are a very active and involved family to say the least. The Carter family loves Fort Payne and appreciate the support of the community.

Carter’s Beverages has grown over the past several years and more space was needed, so Lebron and Laurie moved their North store (2308 Gault Ave. N) just across the street. With more space, they now carry a variety of cute accessories to compliment any beverage you may pick up for a gift. You can follow them on Facebook for weekly specials and to keep up with store hours. The new store will hold a grand reopening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, June 30 with the ribbon cutting at 6pm with The Underwoods performing at 6:30pm. Bring a chair and join us for food, drinks, and door prizes!
