FORT PAYNE, Ala. — According to Michelle Baker, Human Resource Regional Lead of AP Plasman in Fort Payne, a non-active employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

In response to an inquiry from Southern Torch, the following statement was issued:

"One of our non-active employees has tested positive for COVID-19.  We took the opportunity today to educate our employees on the importance of internal and external social distancing. As a precautionary measure, we also took the opportunity to do an internal cleaning as a part of the protocol for COVID-19. We currently have no active employees with COVID and are running at full production volumes.

We appreciate your taking the time to ask us about our employees and are confident that we have a strong protocol in place to protect our employees."

Southern Torch will continue to report on this breaking story.
