Another Indictment comes down in 2015 Henagar murder; third arrest in case

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — On Thursday, August 24th the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a grand jury indictment for murder on Jason Lee Loudermilk, 31 of Sylvania in conjunction to the Kenneth DeWayne Shaw’s murder case back in November of 2015.

Loudermilk was in Jackson County Jail on unrelated charges when the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received the indictment. A DeKalb County Deputy transported Loudermilk from Jackson County Jail to the DeKalb County Detention Center.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said of the arrest: “Because this is a Grand Jury indictment and we do not have any further information on this case.”

On Saturday, November 14, 2015 a caller reported a 48 year old male had been shot In Henagar. When Henagar police officers and deputies arrived on the scene, they found Kenneth Dewayne Shaw, aged 48, face-down in his yard, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Shaw was pronounced dead on arrival. Shortly after (November 18), Casey Adam Jones, 39, of Rosalie was arrested in connection to the murder.

Dakota Lake Gore was also indicted regarding the murder back in January of this year. (DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office)

On January 18 of this year, Dakota Lake Gore, of Dawson was also arrested regarding the murder of Shaw. Gore was arrested on a grand jury indictment, and was taken into custody after a short car chase. He jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the woods, but was captured shortly thereafter.

Gore was also charged with resisting arrest and attempt to elude.
